Murtaya Sports Cars Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles and kits from the early 2010s. The brand name was Murtaya.

History

Andrew David White, Benjamin Arthur White and Graham Allin Codling founded in 2010, the company in Exeter, Devon. They took over a project of Adrenaline Motorsport and started the production of automobiles and kits. In total, about twelve copies were made.  By 2013 the production had ended.

The first model was the Murtaya. This was a two-seat roadster. Fitted with a boxer engine from the Subaru Impreza.The Murtaya features a composite monocoque tub with engine and front suspension bolting onto a spaceframe that is multi pointed to the main tub. This provides a very stiff platform allowing the suspension to perform its job, keeping the wheels in contact with the road!The running gear from the iconic Subaru Impreza (1993-2000) is used in largely unaltered form making for a straightforward build. The car has been carefully designed to offer an exciting project for self assembly. Any necessary modifications are carried out by our engineers and included as exchange items in the kits.The use of the rally proven Impreza drivetrain means that the performance of the Murtaya is very good with incredible levels of traction and cornering grip generated by the four wheel drive give the car simply astonishing ground covering ability.


SPECIFICATION


Chassis: Composite GRP monocoque. Spaceframe for engine, gearbox and front suspension
Bodywork: GRP clamshell, side skirts, doors, bootlid and rear bumper
Suspension: Fully independent Mcpherson strut all round
Brakes: Discs all round, vented at front, solid or vented at rear
Engine: 2.0 litre turbo charged Subaru Impreza. 2.5 litre option allowing up to 500 BHP
Wheels: 17 x7.5J with 215 45 R17 tyres. 18" wheel and 235 tyre option
price : Factory built, from £19,OOO kits from £9000

 A further development was the 2011 presented Fulgara RTS , which found only about two buyers.
