Dorian Motor Company

Dorian Motor Company

Dorian Motor Company was a British manufacturer of automobiles in the 1980s .The brand name was Dorian .

The Dorian Motor Company in Warwickshire UK built kit cars from 1986 untill 1990.

The DORIAN SS was modelled around the basic shape and style of the Morgan, the Dorian SS and stayed in production for about nine years, initially as the Burlington. Designed for kit assembly by the buyer, the Dorian has economy in its favour and, thanks to an adaptable chassis design, has a wide choice of power plants. Included in this list are the Triumph Herald (1.2), Spitfire (1.3), GT6 (2.0), plus various Ford and BL, allowing engines from 1.1 to a  large 3 litres to be fitted. In the case of the Triumph based models, the original Triumph chassis is in fact retained (although the engine and gearbox are sited rearwards to improve weight distribütion), and special chassis are also offered.

The company offers hoods, walnut dashboards, chromed accessories and so on as options. In addition, a 2+2 body is available.
