Buick LeSabre 2nd generation was a car made by Buick made from late 1961 to early 1964.

History

For the model year 1962 changed little on the styling of the body but taking on a few extra inches. However, only four body styles were offered: sedans with two or four doors, a two-door hardtop coupe and a four-door hardtop sedan.

The cars were now equipped with the V8 engine of the larger 401 cubic-inch V8 models with 6571 cc, which made 280 hp (206 kW). On request, a performance-reduced version with lower compression and with only 260 hp (191 kW) was available for the same price and a 325-horsepower 401 option. from 1964 a two-speed Super Turbine automatic transmission avalable as well as a 7 position tilting steering wheel column.

In the following year there were no technical or stylistic changes, but station wagon and convertible were available again. With the introduction of the Skylark , the LeSabre increased in the model range to the middle model range.

From the beginning of 1962 to the end of 1963, 298,291 copies of the LeSabre were built.
