The Chevrolet Biscayne 1st generation was only built in 1958, the Biscayne was the successor to the Two-Ten.

History

There were only two bodies for the Biscayne: sedans with six seats and two or four doors, and the six or nine seat with five doors that were called Brookwood. Instead of the individual headlamps of the predecessor model were now under double headlights. features include Styling Body by Fisher sterling anodized aluminum body safety girder frame, full-coil spring suspension spherical front joints four-link rear suspension.
Ball-Race steering bonded brake linings. Anti-Dive braking. tubeless tires 14-inch wheels.3-point engine mounting system 30-ampere generator dual headlights .safety plate glass throughout, high-vision windshield, crank one-key type ventipanes .

 Chevrolet Biscayne First generation specifications

The six-cylinder models were called Series 1500 and had the well-known from its predecessor in-line engine with 3,859 cm, which gave 145 hp (107 kW) at 4,200 rpm. In the 1600 series, six different V8 engines were available; Base was an engine with 4,638 cm, the at 4,600 rpm (136 kW) gave an output of 185 PS. On request and for an extra charge, more engines also available. A total 76,229 Chevrolet Biscayne 1st generation 2 door were still built in 1958.
