The Citroën C35 is a truck developed together with the Fiat 242 and built by Fiat in Italy from fall 1973 to summer 1987 and by Chausson in France from summer 1987 to early 1991.

This was supposed to be a compliment to Citroen's commercial vehicle lineup, as well as a long-term replacement for the Citroen HY. All four wheels were individually supported, with double wishbones in front and parallel shafts in back, both axles with torsion bar springs, front wheel drive, and four disc brakes. It was originally intended to be built solely as a C32 with a total weight of 3.2 tonnes, but it was later charged as a C 35 with a total weight of 3.5 tonnes.
The waggons had a 4200 mm wheelbase and were 4960 mm long, 1990 mm broad, and 2370 mm tall. The empty weight of the vehicle was 1665 kg.

When introduced in early 1974, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine from the Citroën CX were availablefor election. It was available ex works as box van, chassis for superstructures, minibus and minibus, ambulance and motorhome.

In the spring of 1980, the model was revised: A 2.5-liter diesel engine replaced the 2.2-liter diesel, the turn signals were placed next to the headlights, reversing lights was available and side crash barriers. In late 1984, the dashboard was renewed.

In the summer of 1987 ended the production of the Fiat 242 and the assembly line was relocated to France to Chausson.

In early 1991, production ended after 145,000 copies. The Citroën C25 with increased overall weight and increased payload was the successor.
