The Dodge D2 series Beauty Winner  was a Dodge car built in Detroit , which was introduced as a successor to the model Dodge New Value in November 1935 as the model year 1936.

History

The Dodge D2 series had like its predecessors - a side-mounted six-cylinder in-line engine with 3569 cc, which made 87 bhp (64 kW) at 3600 / min. Single-disc dry clutch, three-speed gearbox and rear-wheel drive also had this vehicle. On request, a semi-automatic (vacuum automatically actuated clutch) was available.

The Beauty Winner was available with two wheelbases: most superstructures were on the chassis with 2946 mm wheelbase, only the seven-seater sedan had 3251 mm wheelbase. The bodies had been slightly reworked: The grille was slightly rounder and slightly convex As structures, a two- or four-door sedan, each in "normal" (without trunk) and in "Touring execution" (with hatchback and rear trunk connected) offered. There were also two different two-door coupes (Business and R / S), as well as a two and a four-door convertible on the short chassis. R / S Coupe and two-door convertible were available with two or four seats. The long chassis was next to the sedan described above with all mechanical components, but without superstructures, so that it could be awarded by the customer to bodywork companies that provided it with special bodies. For business people there was still a four-door delivery limousine (only with driver's seat).

Already in October 1936, the D2 Beauty Winner was replaced by the D5 series .
