The first generation of the GMC terrain was built from 2010 and replaced by the second generation in 2017.
The GMC Terrain is a SUV to be General Motors owned brand GMC.The first generation of the terrain corresponds to the Pontiac Torrent, which expired with the discontinuation of the brand Pontiac 2009. . The vehicle presented at the New York International Auto Show 2009 is by far the smallest and most economical model of GMC. It actually replaces the Torrent of the now discontinued Pontiac brand and shares the technical base with the Chevrolet Equinox , Cadillac SRX and Suzuki XL7 models use the Theta platform. .
By 2013 The Terrain had improved interior quality, and a power seats. a larger 3.6L SIDI V6 with 300 hp also avaliable, asides the previous 3.0L SIDI V6 and 2.4 L Ecotec .
By 2016, the Terrain received a facelift with new front and LED daytime running lights, and revised the dashboard.
