 The Honda D engine was installed in various compact cars from Honda It is mostly found in the Civic with engine codes D17A1,D17A2,D17A8,D17A9,. The engine capacity is 1.7 liters and the engines are available in SOHC and DOHC versions. Some SOHC models are equipped with VTEC . The production was recorded in 2001 and ended in 2005 with the presentation of the eighth generation of the Civic.
