The Nissan Be-1 is a small car model of the Japanese car brand Nissan built in the 1980s for the JDM market production was limited to 10,000.
History
The first The Be-1 was shown at the 26th international motor show Tokyo in 1985 with production from 1987. It is a a retro-styled two-door notchback sedan it had a large cargo volume because the car was designed as a pure two-seater. As additional extras were a sunroof, electrically adjustable mirrors and sports equipment available. Buyers were decided through a lottery by Nissan and special feature were also some unusual paint finishes for the Be-1 (eg pumpkin yellow, tomato red or onion white).
The car body was based on the first generation March K10 as based on the first generation Nissan Micra chassis, the Be-1 was powered by a 52 hp (38 kW) four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 987 cc. As a circuit you could choose a three-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission. The carburetor was electronically controlled.Rack and pinion steering, independent suspension Disc brakes were used in the front and drum brakes rear.
