As of February 2008, the second generation of the Pontiac Vibe was available on the American market along with the Matrix. The new model has 4.36 meters long, 1.76 meters wide and 1.60 meters high body. For use comes a 1.8-liter four-cylinder with 132 hp and 174 Nm and a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, which brings it to 158 hp and 224 Nm. The front-wheel drive versions are switched by manual five-speed gearbox or by a four-speed automatic, the four-wheel drive is combined exclusively with a manual transmission.

The Vibe models include six airbags, ESP, tire pressure monitoring and active headrests and a computerized traction control system. The Toyota Voltz was an identical to the details of the variant, which was sold from 2002 to 2004 in Japan as right-hand drive; The import was discontinued after two years and about 10,000 copies.
