 Elite Enterprises Inc. was an American manufacturer of  kit car automobiles . 

History

Gerry Knapp founded the company on November 14, 1969 in Cokato , Minnesota . He began in 1971 with the production of automobiles and kit cars . The brand name was Elite .   Later in the year there was an agreement with Chrysler , after which the name Chrysler Laser for his model Chrysler laser was allowed to use. 1986 ended production. Knapp died in 1986. Quint Industries took over several models and Hardy Motors another model. On October 7, 1991, the company was dissolved. 

Elite Enterprises

The Laser GT was a coupe on a shortened chassis of the VW Beetle . The Laser 917 was inspired by the Porsche 917 and was also based on a VW chassis. Various engines from Mazda and Porsche , from the Chevrolet Corvair and V6 engines from General Motors powered the vehicles.  According to the company emerged Between 1972 and 1982 679 vehicles of this type. 

Elite Enterprises

The replica of an Allard J2X had its own frame, which was designed for both the inclusion of V8 front engines and VW rear-engined engines.  A vehicle from 1985 was in 2016 for 12,500 dollars at auction.
