Heartland Glassworks was an American manufacturer of kit type automobiles in the 1980s.
History
Heartland Glassworks company was based in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. It produced automobiles and kit cars. The trade name was Heartland. The production period is given from about 1985 to 1990
The model Manx SR was based on a model of Karma Coach Works, which in turn taken over from Meyers Manx using the original tooling. It was a kind of VW buggy for the beach or street. The base was a chassis of the VW Beetle. However, the body offered more weather protection. Striking were the Targa roof and the doors, which opened similar to the Lamborghini Countach.
