History

The company was founded in Detroit , Michigan in 1915 . In the same year the production of trucks began . Utilizing semi-elliptic leaf springs and Timken worm-drive rear axle, most Acason stakeside trucks were sold as 2 and 3 1/2-tonners.Power came from four-cylinder Waukesha engines of between 22 and 40hp.

Initially there were three models in the range. The smallest offered 0.5 tons of payload , the middle 2 tons and the largest 3.5 tons of payload.

In 1917 a version with 1.5 tons payload was added for $2100 and in 1918 a large five-ton truck for $4200. In addition, a tractor appeared that year in light version for $2500 and heavy versions at $3800.

In 1921 the range was limited to trucks with a payload of 2.5 and 3.5 tons.

By 1925 Production had ended .
