The Armstrong Siddeley 16-Six is a car made by the British manufacturer Armstrong Siddeley from 1938 to 1941 as the successor of the 17 hp .

History

The mid size sedans had four rear hinged doors. All four wheels hung on solid axles, which were hung on semi-elliptical longitudinal leaf springs.

A top mounted straight six cylinder inline engine with 1990 cc displacement (bore × stroke = 65 mm × 100 mm) was installed, which gave a power of 62 bhp (45.6 kW) at 4200, a manual four-speed gearbox and a propeller shaft, and drive to the rear wheels.

The 16hp saloon was one of the last to be built prior to switching to war work.

This was replaced later with the models Lancaster , Whitley , Typhoon and Hurricane .
