Leaping Cats is a British company in the automotive and former automobile manufacturer from the 1980s. 

History

Craig Hinton, who previously led Viking Cars with Peter Morris , founded the company in 1982 in Blaby , County Leicestershire .They began with the restoration of old vehicles and the production of quality automobiles and kits . The brand name was Leaping Cats . 1983 ended the car production. In total, about 28 copies were made. 

As a restoration company, the company is still active today. The company is headquartered in Bulkington near Nuneaton , Warwickshire with Full Body shells, extensive list of panels for the Jaguar .

One model was the 380 SSR , which corresponded to the Viking 380 . The vehicle resembled the SS 100 , but was not a direct replica . The basis was a self-developed chassis with engine and suspension from the Jaguar XJ 6 . On top of that an aluminum body was mounted. The fenders were made of fiberglass . From this model created about eight copies. 

The other model was the C-Type .This was the replica of the racing sports car Jaguar C-Type  The price is considered high and the quality is very high . From this model created until 1983 about 20 copies.
