In essence, the vehicles also technically and in style matched their pre-war donors. 1947 was the series 1500EJ, 1948 1500 FJ. Stylemaster was added to the lower priced range Master Deluxe coupes and sedans; Fleet-master to the Special Deluxe.
The cars were equipped with an overhead-line six-cylinder engine of 3,548 cc capacity a power of 90 HP at 3,300 rpm. A fully synchronized, manual three-speed transmission with steering wheel circuit, the engine power was forwarded to the rear wheels.
The Stylemaster series comprised two- and four-door sedans, sport coupe and business coupe at prices ranging from $ 1098 to $1205. The Four body styles were available: two-door business coupe with two seats, two-door sports coupe with five seats and two limousines with two or four doors and six seats each.
In 1947 there was a slightly different grille. In 1948 this was changed again by inserting a chrome-plated T; in addition, the windows had frames of black rubber and the type designation Stylemaster appeared in the rear of the alligator hood on both sides.
The following year, the Special Series 1500GJ replaced the Stylemaster. In three years, 459,228 copies were made.
