History
The new Model F58 began in December of 1925 with production for the model year 1926, the construction was taken over by an expiring model of the predecessor company Maxwell-Chalmers .The car had a side-mounted 4-cylinder in-line engine with 3,045 cc capacity, which gave 38 bhp (28 kW) power. The rear wheels were driven via a single-disc dry clutch and a three-speed manual gearbox with central control. Initially, only the rear wheels were equipped with mechanical brakes, in later versions, all four wheels were hydraulically drum braked semi-with elliptical leaf spring suspension on all wheels. There were five different bodies offered, which looked similar to the middle-sized sister model.
In the following year replaced the series 50 the F-58 after 81,089 copies made.
