The Ferrari GTC4Lusso is a Gran Turismo Shooting Brake of the Italian automobile manufacturer Ferrari .

History

The GTC4Lusso is a shooting-brake three-door four-wheel drive powered by a 6.3-liter V12 engine located in central position. The vehicle was first presented to the public on 8 February 2016. His public premiere took place at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. The model falls into the four-seater granturismo range.

At launch in the spring of 2016 was only the from the previous model FF -known 6.3-liter V12 - petrol engine available. This provides 507 kW (690 hp) in the GTC4Lusso. The top speed of the car is Ferrari with 335 km / h, he should accelerate in 3.4 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h. The name GTC and some external details, such as the side air vents, are reminiscent of the 330 GTC and from which it also takes the name, 4 and the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso such as the 250 GT Lusso, 60s harks back to some red cars from the Lusso.

The car has an exterior style with a similar approach to the car it replaces. The rear features the four circular Ferrari lights, last seen on the Ferrari F430, which in turn contain a double crown of LEDs. The front has a grille with air intake single with three chromed horizontal slats where the horse emblem stands out, which provides greater cooling while giving the car a more aggressive appearance.

Inside; the interior features a driver's seat and the remaining three single seats separated by the central tunnel, with a small display on the front passenger side which shows the main vehicle information such as speed and engine rpm.

On the Paris Motor Show 2016 Ferrari presented the GTC4Lusso T . This takes over the well-known from the 488 GTB Biturbo -V8 with 3.9 Liter displacement. In the GTC4Lusso T, the engine produces 449 kW (610 hp). In contrast to the V12, where all four wheels are driven , the V8 is only available with rear-wheel drive .

The car uses an improved and evolved version of Ferrari's patented all-wheel drive system introduced on the FF called 4RM Evo, but with the GTC4Lusso an integrated system also debuts  a four-wheel steering called 4RM-S. The GTC4Lusso has a 6,262 cm³ engine called "Ferrari F140 ED " with V12 architecture at 65° and delivers 690 CV at 8 000 rpm, much more than on the FF, thanks to a compression ratio high to 13.5:1.The maximum torque is 697 N m at 5 750 rpm. The maximum speed is 335 km/h, unchanged compared to the FF, while acceleration drops by 0.3 seconds to 3.4 seconds.

GTC4Lusso T

At the Paris Motor Show in 2016, Ferrari presented the GTC4Lusso T . This car borrows the well-known Ferrari F154 biturbo V8 engine with displacement of 3.9 Liters (3,855 cm³) of the 488 GTB. On the GTC4Lusso T the engine delivers 610 HP/449 kW at 7,500 rpm with a torque of 760 Nm between 3,000 and 5,250 rpm. According to the manufacturer, the car can reach a top speed of over 320 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Compared to the versions with the V12 in which the power is released on the four-wheel drive, the V8 is only rear-wheel drive, while maintaining the four-wheel system steering wheels called 4RM-S.
