The Anglia Torino 105E was built by the Italian subsidiary of Ford in the 1960s.
History
The Anglia Torino 105E from Italian Ford Company, was assembled in the Turin Osi factory, as nationalized products of the British car industry. The Anglia Torino 105E was developed by the Italian subsidiary of Ford, using the chassis and mechanical components of the 105E Saloon, with new body panels. It is the as far as sales and technical ingenuity are concerned, of the Dagenham company, and both the normal and super versions of the Anglia come out with Italian bodies The Torino was styled by Giovanni Michelotti and built by Officine Stampaggi Industriali but without undergoing any variations in their technical components.
With integral chassis, The Anglia, which is traditional in its technical characteristics, has an fully synchronized four-speed gearbox. the front suspension was independent, by McPherson, coil springs/telescopic damper struts, lower wishbones with anti-roll bar at the rear was rigid with semi-elliptic leafsprings, lever dampers.

An interesting feature of this small Ford is the fact that the entire framework is in cast-iron but, in spite of this, the total weight is kept within reasonable limits thanks to the use by the makers of special smelting methods. The same engine had been used in its 1 litre version for racing purposes on formula 3 cars and had swept the board on all race tracks. Its reliability and liveliness have not been belied in this new and larger edition, and the greater power available allows its merits to be appreciated even better than before. The engine will stand over-revving without protest and has, thanks to the experience of so many years, well-proven qualities of endurance and reliability. The car, which is extremely simple in design, tries to be and succeeds in being the luxury edition of a model that is accessible to the vast majority of the public.
10,007 examples were sold in Italy and the model was also marketed in Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg.
