The Ford B-MAX is a car model of the car manufacturer Ford . The five-seater was first presented as a study at the Geneva Motor Show 2011.
History
It is based on the Ford Fiesta and is produced at Ford Romania (formerly Automobile Craiova ) in Romania . For the development of the Italian design studio and Coachbuilder was Vercarmodel Saro was responsible.In a EuroNCAP crash test in the summer of 2012, the B-Max scored five stars and 92% for occupant protection.
The concept car did not have door handles, but opened with the help of sensors. The vehicle was designed by Ford's chief designer Martin Smith in the so-called "Kinetic Design" and has - like the studies Ford Iosis and Ford Iosis-MAX - no visible B-pillar . The car is available for market launch in four trim levels.The base model is called Ambiente and has an electro-mechanical power steering, electric windows front and rear and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals.
