De Dietrich was an early German manufacturer of automobiles from 1898 to 1905 in Niederbronn. The brand name was De Dietrich.
History
The industrial dynasty De Dietrich owned numerous industrial companies in Alsace, Lorraine and other neighbouring French regions in the 19th century. In 1896 Eugène de Dietrich acquired a license from Amédée Bollée. The company De Dietrich (Lunéville) began in 1897 with the production of automobiles. Niederbronn followed in Alsace in 1898, which at the time belonged to the German Reich. Initially, the product range was similar to the offer from Lunéville. In 1902, Ettore Bugatti resigned as chief engineer in the company.
