The Nissan Avenir is a mid-range station wagon manufactured by Japanese automaker Nissan between 1990 and 2005 , mainly in Japan and New Zealand.
History
The first Avenir was introduced in May 1990 and replaced in 1991 the set with the U13 series Nissan Bluebird combo; This was related to the approximately simultaneously introduced in Europe Nissan Primera , as the combination variant he was initially (slightly modified rear section) was exported. In Japan, injected four-cylinder engines of 1.8 and 2.0 liters with two overhead camshafts were on offer (types SR18DE and SR20DE). The drive was usually on the front wheels, on request there were also four-wheel drive variants .
In January 1993, a cosmetic modification (type PW10) and the introduction of a two-liter turbo diesel engine (type CD20T, 67 kW / 91 hp) were made. From 1995, the four-wheel drive model was also available as Avenir Salut GT with a turbocharged version of the two-liter gasoline engine (type SR20DET, 154 kW / 210 hp).
In August 1998, it was replaced by the type W11 with a slightly larger body. New base engine was the 1.8-liter type QG18DE (92 kW / 125 hp), about which ranked the known suction and turbo two-liter (last now 168 kW / 230 hp strong) and a two-liter turbodiesel (type CD20ET).Built untill 2005.
