The SEAT Salsa is a prototype concept cars presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2000 by the Spanish manufacturer SEAT.
History
The SEAT Salsa is a three-door, 4-seater hatchback equipped with four-wheel drive and a 250 hp V6 petrol engine . The tailgate stands out in its design, which opens in two parts. It has a multimedia system that adapts to the driving mode and the environment inside the cabin.
It was the first SEAT that incorporated the "dynamic line", a fold that begins in the headlights, descends on the side of the vehicle and merges with the passage of the rear wheel. This line would later be used in production cars such as Altea , León II and Toledo III.
The first unit built was silver gray, that same year in the Paris Motor Show appeared another concept in off-road version called Salsa Emotion. A third prototype would be presented at the 2002 Madrid Motor Show, it was an evolution of the first model presented, this unit was painted in red, and finally there were developments of a yellow sporty competition type Salsa with a rear wing called Salsa Cupra concept. It was the first prototype designed by Walter da Silva since arriving at SEAT.
The SEAT Salsa Emotion is a redesign and the off - road version of the SEAT Salsa, although the brand defines it as an MDC (Multi Driving Concept). It was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2000 . Like its predecessor, it presents multimedia systems to adapt its driving mode, be it sports, urban or field.
It is another step of SEAT to demonstrate the range that I wanted to build in the future, it is also equipped with a 2.8-liter V6 engine with four-wheel drive from Audi .
