Deering Magnetic was an American quality car brand from the 1910s in Chicago, Illinois.
History
The Deering Magnetic car brand was introduced in January 1918 at the Automobile Salon in Chicago. Most of the parts for the cars came from other suppliers. Production took place at the Dorris Motor Car Company that was based in St. Louis. Karl H. Martin was the designer of the vehicles. The first year saw a seven-seater touring car and a five-seat Town Car. The Collins Body Company supplied the bodies.
The cars had a six-cylinder engine of Dorris with Overhead valves and 6,178 cc engine capacity, with 38.4 hp. The power transmission came from the Owen Magnetic Motor Car Corporation. The chassis had 335 cm wheelbase.
In 1919, a four-seat touring car, a four-seater coupe and a seven-seater sedan was now available.
The production ended in 1919 came to a stop due to material shortage from the suppliers
