In October 1957, the PA series is presented as Velox and Cresta with a completely new state-of-the-art body with tail fins and panoramic windows.
The engine of the predecessor model is slightly modified and makes in this vehicle 82.5 bhp (61.5 kW). The sister model Cresta differs from the Velox by better features and two-color paint. two new six-cylinder cars had been introduced in 1957, the PA Velox and the Cresta, with 2.2-litre oversquare engines.
In 1959, overdrive came in as an option on the sixes, with Hydramatic automatic transmission in 1960, when the engine capacity was raised to 2.5-litres.

In October 1959 there is the first facelift. The grille becomes much larger and the three-part panoramic rear window gives way to a one-piece. Vauxhall changes the technology of the vehicle in October 1960. Velox Saloon and Friary Estate Car continued Power assisted braking optional extra. Final Chassis No. for 2262 cc models PA—Y 128146
