The Renault Kangoo is a car manufactured by Renault from October 1997. The MPV version of the first Kangoo was produced in France until 2008, and until 2010 in a utility version , but the model is still produced in both variants in Argentina. The Kangoo 2 replaces it in 2007, which is significantly larger. The utility version of Kangoo is called Kangoo Express . The first generation was also marketed by Nissan in Latin America and Europe as Kubistar .

The Kangoo was classified in the category MPV , it was presented as a practical family car, highlighting the large volume of its interior, and as an alternative to compact minivans.

Before this, other vehicles had attempted the marriage of the volume of a utility in the back seat of a sedan, accompanied by a tailgate instead of the double-door of the trunk. Among them are the Matra-Simca Rancho , the presence of a civilian version in the Renault Express range , and more contemporary to the Kangoo, the twin Citroën Berlingo and Peugeot Partner .
Renault Kangoo I Technical details (1997-2010)

The main innovation of the Kangoo was its third sliding door, highlighting the practical aspect of the car, both in civil and utility version. PSA then incorporated a third door to its two MPVs, at the time Renault equipped the Kangoo with a fourth door. The Kangoo doors have since been used in the main European general manufacturers version of their vans , equipped with two sliding rear doors. As early as 1998, an all-road version (2-wheel drive, raised slight by 5 cm ) appeared under the name "Pampa" in  some markets. It will be completed by a 4x4 version from 2001.
Renault Kangoo I Repair Manual (1997-2010)

The Kangoo was restyled in April 2003 (phase II): new front, new taillights, dashboard, etc. General improvements in handling , soundproofing , finishing and equipment. In Europe where the second generation is introduced in 2007, the MPV continues its career until 2008, while the utility van is extended until 2010.

  • 1997-2010: MCA plant (Maubeuge Construction Automobile) in Maubeuge (59), France
  • 1999-2017: Factory of Santa Isabel in Córdoba (Argentina)

The Kangoo is again restyled in 2014 with a new grille, inspired by the Clio, especially for the Argentinean market, where it competes with the first generation Berlingo. Its production stops in 2017.In 2018 , he was replaced in Argentina by a rebadged Renault version of Dacia Dokker .
